About Greg Schwesinger

Greg Schwesinger has a well-earned reputation as an effective, zealous and articulate advocate for the criminally accused and injured. Greg is well respected by not only the courts, but also his peers on both sides of the bench. Greg is known as a compassionate listener who empathizes with the grief, frustration, and underlying fear his clients often experience when faced with being charged with a crime or injured in an accident; he gives a voice to his clients that the government and insurance companies respect and understand.

Greg offers a unique service to his clients because of his experience not only as a United States Marine Corps Judge Advocate, but also as a successful City of Seattle Prosecutor. He uses his experience to effectively advocate and negotiate on behalf of his clients, and creates success by ensuring that every client's integrity and underlying humanity are always brought to the forefront during the processing of their case.

A History of Excellence

In 1992, Greg successfully completed the United States Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia, and was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant. After graduating from law school in 1994 and completing an externship for former Washington State Supreme Court Justice Barbara Durham, Greg embarked on finalizing his military legal training at the Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island. He officially became a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps in March of 1996, and ended his military career in 2002 as a Major in the United States Marine Corps.

As a City of Seattle Prosecutor, Greg was appointed to a position in the "High Impact Offender Project," where he was responsible for the prosecution of the most serious repeat offenders. He gained invaluable experience negotiating, resolving, and trying cases.

As both a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney, Greg has handled literally thousands of cases, including successfully litigating hundreds of cases up to and through trial. His significant training and experience on both sides of the judicial aisle have allowed him to emerge as a seasoned advocate for his clients. Greg is dedicated to and passionate about obtaining only the most fair, just and equitable results for every client.

Testimonials

Greg was the right choice! … Greg is a man that really went the extra mile to be certain I was pleased with the outcome before finalizing anything. He is the only person I would recommend to anyone facing a DUI charge!
