It should go without saying that getting the ‘munchies’ after a night out drinking should only result in the raid of your frig, not a raid on a fast food restaurant. But one Oregon woman found that out the hard way when she cruised through a Taco Bell drive-thru and poured Hennessy cognac into the mouth of the employee manning the window. Unfortunately (although some would say fortunately), as luck would have it, there was a cop in line right behind her. What seemed to be funny at the time, wasn’t so funny a few moments later when the sergeant followed the young woman out of the parking lot and immediately pulled her over. The woman was arrested and booked into the county jail on suspicion of driving under the influence; she had blood-alcohol content of .12 percent, which is higher than Oregon’s (and Washington’s) state limit of .08 percent. What is the take away of this gem of a story … heck there are too many to even count … but the biggest one of all, if you have consumed an amount of alcohol that has you contemplating doing stupid things, you best not drive, and if you do make that poor choice, have a DUI attorney’s number on speed dial.
