Just another friendly reminder from SQ Attorneys – Washington State’s Department of Licensing (“DOL”) is scheduled to update their aged computer system at the end of this month and into the first week of September. This ‘update’ will cause DOL services (on-line and/or in-person) to be delayed or even unavailable. Folks should be aware that as a direct consequence of DOL’s computer update, King and Snohomish County vehicle and vessel licensing services will also be down. Thus, customers who renew their registration on-line before August 29, 2018 should plan on picking up their tabs before the close of business on August 30, 2018. The good news in all of this is that all systems should be back up and running and in good order after Labor Day, September 3, 2018.
